1. Problem description
The development of AMaViS 0.1.x / 0.2.x (the shell script version) has
been discontinued on 2001-07-16. The security maintenance will end on
2004-08-01.  

2. Impact
Security issues in AMaViS 0.1.x / 0.2.x or any third party software
being used will not be fixed anymore. 

3. Solution
We strongly encourage you to upgrade to amavis 0.3.x, amavisd 0.1,
amavisd-new or amavis-ng.

We also ask any package or port maintainer of amavis 0.2.x to remove
this package or port from their distribution or ports collection or 
at least to mark it outdated / unsupported. Thank you very much for
